June 2012-April 24, 2013 Few and far in between is a fitting title considering posts are rare for me. This will be another recap post so I can look back and read what kind of events happened
June 2012:
- Graduated from Pharmacy Tech C-School in San Antonio, TX
- Enjoyed my time living there for 10 months, going in I was skeptical being one of those Californians who disliked TX for no reason even though I had never been before.
- Enjoyed 7 days of leave relaxing in San Diego and spent my last free day 4th of July with friends and family. For the first time celebrating and watching the fireworks on the 4th felt more patriotic being in the Navy and thinking about all others who serve.
- Checked into my command of Twentynine Palms, CA 2.5 hours from San Diego where I will be stationed until 2016. HM1 Webb, HM2 Idos, HM2 Mullin, HM3 Yeon, Fleming, and Contreras were all military when I was there
- First 2 months were spent learning the ropes and getting situated. Didn't have a roommate which was nice for a little bit.
- Days off commuted back home and enjoyed time in San Diego or visiting LA
- Gennelle and Peter's wedding in LA was one of the best weddings ever for our cousins. Open bar and in the heart of downtown LA
- Officially moved to the night shift at the pharmacy, was tiring at first but adjusted.
- Friend Leizl married her college sweetheart Aaron. This was wedding 5 of 6 for 2012. It was a beautiful ceremony in botanical gardens and a nice outdoor setting
- Final 6 of 6 wedding in 2012 concluded with Jamie and Nick's wedding. This was a fun one because it included family and the close friends.
- Worked Thanksgiving
- Experienced my first code blue at the hospital
- Annual friend's gift exchange at Rick's place where we enjoyed Cards Against Humanity and Sean got me a nice bottle of Macallan
- Worked Christmas Eve and Christmas
- Went to Las Vegas for NYE and stayed with Jason Miguel and spent New Years at Cosmopolitan with some old friends
- Saw friend's Andy and Liz from NY and even got a basketball game in with old b-ball friends.
